Tennessee’s wrongful death law is perhaps the most misunderstood component of Tennessee tort law. There are relatively few wrongful death cases in comparison with personal injury cases, and thus most lawyers
and judges) simply are not called upon to address wrongful death legal issues on a regular basis. This program will look at some of the nuances, including who has standing to bring the action, and who is entitled to share in the distribution of proceeds.
